Rules you can read.
Results you can test.

Turn a trading rule — with or without an astro timing filter — into live signals, an honest backtest and a broker-ready order. Every house strategy is published in full. Every result is graded against random timing before we call it an edge.

What it is

  • Signals from strategies whose rules you can read line by line.
  • A builder where "slot signal is BUY" or "macro score above 45" is a filter like any indicator.
  • Backtests with brokerage, STT, exchange charges and slippage — and a random-timing baseline.
  • Paper trading first; then one-tap handoff into your broker account.
  • Mandatory risk limits, a kill switch, and an audit log for every order attempt.

What it is not

  • Not a tip service, and not a promise of returns. Automation removes screen time, not risk.
  • Not a black box. A strategy we cannot publish is a strategy we will not ship.
  • Not one server trading for everyone. Orders originate from your account and your IP until exchange empanelment allows otherwise.
  • Not live money on day one. Every strategy earns its way from paper to real.

The roadmap, in shipping order

1

Live signals + paper trading

A signal board for Nifty, Bank Nifty and Nifty 50 stocks. Five house strategies, every rule published. A paper ledger fills at the next candle so you see what each rule would have done — before any money moves.

2

Builder + backtests

Form-based strategy builder: indicator rules and astro filters in one grammar. Backtests over 1-minute data with real Indian costs, out-of-sample shading, and a random-timing baseline for every result.

3

Broker connect + handoff

Link Dhan, Angel One or Zerodha. One tap opens the pre-filled order in your own broker app; you confirm there. Mandatory risk limits, a kill switch, and an audit log per order. Optional self-hosted executor for power users.

4

Auto-mode

Cloud execution under exchange empanelment, options backtests with vendor data, WhatsApp alerts. Timing depends on regulators and partners, not only on us.

House strategies, rules first

The five Phase 1 strategies as currently specified. The exact parameters are published here before anything goes live, and revised in public if they change. None has a validated edge yet — that is what the paper ledger and the baseline are for.

Why every result carries a random-timing baseline

A strategy's exits and sizing can make almost any entry look good. So for every backtest we re-run the same exits and sizing with entries shuffled to random candles in the same sessions, hundreds of times, and report where the strategy's net result sits in that distribution. If the entry timing — astro or otherwise — is not distinguishable from chance, the page says so. We already apply this standard to our own astro work, and it has produced null results we published rather than hid.

Where this stands with the rules

SEBI's retail algo framework (in force since April 2026) governs how orders may be placed through broker APIs, and its Research Analyst regulations govern anyone selling buy/sell signals by subscription. TheFinanceSUTRA is not SEBI registered today; everything on this site is educational until it is. Broker-connected execution ships only through your own broker account, and cloud auto-mode only after exchange empanelment. We will state the registration status on this page as it changes.

What it costs

Priced on capital at risk, not on features. Paper trading, backtests, the random-timing baseline and every risk control are in the free tier and stay there.

Join the Algo waitlist

Phase 1 opens to the waitlist first. Astro annual subscribers are being considered for the Algo tier for the rest of their term as a launch offer.
